Ambiria Homes has been providing specialized residential services to adults with developmental disabilities within the Greater Los Angeles area since 2014. Each of our homes have a maximum of 3 residents with their own bedrooms. This allows individualized care and customized services in order to meet the needs of our residents. Our staff are trained extensively in all areas including the opportunity for training to become Registered Behavior Technicians, licensed Administrators and Direct Support Professionals. Flexible and on-call schedules are available including bonuses.

Ambiria Homes is seeking caring individuals to provide care and supervision to women with special needs or developmental disabilities. The home has 2 adult residents with intellectual disabilities and mental health conditions. Candidates must have the ability to calm residents and de-escalate situations when they display verbally or physically aggressive behaviors. Most of these behaviors are triggered by others who do not have a caring or compassionate demeanor.

DUTIES:
Duties include cooking, cleaning, dispensing medications, documenting behavior patterns, driving residents to appointments and recreational activities in company vehicle. Ensuring the overall safety of residents at all times.

Requirements

• Must be caring and patient
• Experience working with developmentally disabled population (strongly preferred)
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must pass background screening with Department of Justice
• Must be willing to obtain Direct Support Professional Certification 1 & 2
• Must be willing to obtain Crisis Prevention Intervention Certification (company paid training)
• Must be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification (company paid training)

Salary Description
$20.00 per hour
