What is Behavior Support?
The Behavior Support is responsible for performing a variety of para-professional tasks related to the care of individuals served by Damar. Essential job duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Damar’s Strategic Plan and requirements by licensure. This position is funded by the Department of Education (DOE). Duration of services for clients will vary and be determined by the case conference committee.
What would I be doing?
Some duties include client supervision and care, crisis management, promoting appropriate social behaviors, and supporting clients in achieving their maximum potential.

Essential Job Functions
Physical Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
