At Dungarvin, we are more than a provider of support services—we’re a mission-driven team rooted in respect, response and choice. Since 1976, we’ve been dedicated to meeting people where they are - providing person-centered supports that allow individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible.
*Candidate hired for this role may be eligible to accrue supervised fieldwork/practicum hours that can be applied toward the requirements for BCBA certification, in accordance with supervision guidelines.*
The Clinician II will serve as a member of the Adapted Dialectical Behavior Therapy (A-DBT) team, dedicated to addressing the unique needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and comorbid mental health conditions. Individuals receiving services, which are provided in the home and community, are adults with multiple diagnoses and typically present with significant challenging behaviors. Using the principles of A-DBT, the Clinician II will provide assessment, clinical support and consultation based on their unique skills and needs of the individual. Supports include running A-DBT groups, leading social events, identifying challenges within the environment, creating support plans to increase positive behaviors and social skills to promote overall independence, and providing training/modeling to direct care staff in the home. Additionally, the Clinician II may provide training and supervision to Clinicians I and relevant operations roles on development of support plans, measurable goals, and data collection. The Clinician II will maintain a caseload under the supervision of the Clinical Services Manager for implementation of treatment as specified by their respective discipline (ABA, CBT, DBT, etc.) and as designated by the funding source
