Behavior Analyst

Location: Arlington Heights, IL (Cook & Lake Counties)
Pay: Part-Time, hourly, 20 hours per week (position is open to Level II Behavior Analyst or BCBA candidates)
- Level I (BCBA's) - $62/hour
- Level II Behavior Analysts - $39.50/ hour
Clearbrook is a non-profit, social services agency that specializes in providing innovative tools, services, and opportunities to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, such as Autism and Down Syndrome.
Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Behavior Analyst to join our team, primarily working with adults in residential and community day program settings. As a Behavior Analyst, you will play a critical role in assessing, analyzing, and developing interventions to address behavioral challenges and promote positive behavior change in individuals across various settings with disabilities. This role requires a strong understanding of behavioral principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
- Assessment: Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments using a variety of tools and methodologies to understand the underlying factors contributing to individuals' behavior.
- Functional Analysis: Design and implement functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify antecedents, consequences, and maintaining variables influencing target behaviors.
- Behavioral Intervention Planning: Develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment findings, incorporating evidence-based strategies and interventions to address identified behavioral goals and objectives.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Establish data collection systems to monitor behavior change and intervention effectiveness systematically. Analyze data to evaluate progress, make data-driven decisions, and modify interventions as necessary.
- Training and Consultation: Provide training and consultation to caregivers, educators, and other stakeholders on behavior management techniques, intervention strategies, and reinforcement principles to promote consistency and effectiveness across environments.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including psychologists, educators, therapists, and other professionals, to ensure coordinated care and integration of behavioral interventions into individuals' broader treatment plans.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of assessment results, intervention plans, progress reports, and other relevant documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Professional Development: Stay informed of current research, best practices, and trends in the field of behavior analysis. Pursue continuing education opportunities and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field (Master's degree is preferred)
- Level II Behavior Therapist certification in Illinois, or BCBA certification
- At least 1500 supervised hours in behavior management
- Physically able to perform Safety Care Management
- Demonstrated knowledge of behavior analysis principles, methodologies, and interventions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct functional behavior assessments and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse individuals and teams.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or other behavioral challenges preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards in all aspects of work.
