Job Description

Don’t settle for ordinary – we welcome those on the hunt for more! At Lion, we believe that life is short and working for us will feel different because you’ll be centred at the heart of good times. Work in an exciting industry, as unique as you, with outstanding brands like Tooheys, Hahn and Four Pillars.

We are looking for our next Beer Systems Technician to join our On Premise (think pubs and hotels) Draught Quality Team, reporting into our Draught Quality Systems Manager. This is a permanent, full-time role. You will play an important role in enabling our On-Premise customers to deliver a superior draught quality experience. You will work closely with our sales teams, including the National On-Premise and Field Sales Teams, and engage with customers, providing an excellent opportunity to develop your collaboration, customer service and technical skills.

This role services North Queensland, from Airlie beach to as far west as Mt Isa. Ideally you will live in Townsville or Cairns. Please note that to successfully cover the territory, overnight travel will be required (approx 50%).

A day in the life

  • Deliver beer systems training programs at customer venues
  • Implement ongoing proactive support and training for customers
  • Service key customers by responding to reactive calls
  • Diagnose customer beer system issues over the phone or video call
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to deliver requirements of customer contracts
  • Support the Sales Team by installing new tap products and proprietary fonts
  • Ensure all work carried out is in accordance with OH&S regulations and industry standards

What you’ll bring

  • A high level of motivation, being a self-starter
  • Strong time management, prioritisation and planning skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • A trades background would be ideal either in refrigeration, plumbing or mechanical but not necessary.
  • Experience in installing and/or maintaining beer systems would be an advantage
  • Current driver’s license and readiness for travel, including nights away from home

At Lion, we offer ‘growth on tap’ and you’ll get hooked on reaching higher with each new challenge. We have endless experiences to learn and grow for those thirsty for more. Here, you don’t have to choose between your career and other life priorities – we have fantastic people, policies and programs to empower you to lead a career and life less ordinary.
