Join the _nology Australia Pathway‑to‑Tech Programme and kick‑start your career as a Junior Software Engineer. You’ll complete 8 weeks of fully funded, full‑time training, followed by an 18‑month paid placement with one of our hiring partners, working on real industry projects.

About the Programme

This immersive programme is designed to equip you with the technical and professional skills needed to succeed in the technology industry. During training, you’ll learn through a coach‑led, hands‑on learning environment, culminating in interviews with our industry partners.

Once job‑ready, you may be placed into roles such as:

  • Software Engineer
  • Cloud Engineer
  • Quality Assurance Engineer
  • Data Engineer

Role allocation will depend on business demand and your individual strengths.

Training Details

Training will take place Monday to Friday during standard business hours. Delivery is a mix of remote learning and facilitated sessions, with opportunities for collaboration and real‑world project work.

You’ll learn in‑demand technical skills, including:

  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Java
  • APIs and Test‑Driven Development (TDD)
  • Cloud technologies such as AWS

You’ll also develop critical professional skills, including:

  • Agile working methodologies
  • Technical interviewing
  • Communication and collaboration
  • Problem‑solving in a team environment

About You

We’re looking for individuals who are:

  • Curious, resilient, and eager to learn
  • Strong communicators with a collaborative mindset
  • Comfortable learning independently and as part of a group
  • Passionate about technology and its impact on the world
  • Motivated career‑changers or early‑career professionals

No prior coding or technical experience is required.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for this programme, you must:

  • Have full working rights in Australia for at least 2 years
  • Be able to work onsite in Melbourne or Sydney
  • Successfully pass background, right‑to‑work, and reference checks
  • Commit to the full duration of training and placement
