Position:

Instructional Assistant/BEACON ALP

Effective Date:

ASAP

Pay: Class III starting at $23.06/hour

*Pay based on experience and education

Hours:

6.2 hours per day

5 Days a week

180 days per year

Required Education: High School Diploma

Preferred: Two years post secondary education

*Passing score on the ParaPro Test is equivalent

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience working with high school students in an educational setting
• Experience with Google Docs, Forms, and Spreadsheets
• High School student relationship building, conflict resolution, and restorative practice skills in a diverse setting

Responsibilities:

• Check and connect with students on an ongoing basis. Provide ongoing student support
• Monitor progress within all classes
• Communicate and collaborate with counselors and student support team
• Collaborate with Deans and Counselors on attendance
• Maintain a communication and progress log documenting interventions and supports
• Support and monitor students academically in a classroom setting
• Attend staff meetings and intervention meetings
• Potential student transportation support (willing and able to get van licensed through the district)
