BEACH TREE HOST/ESS

Four Seasons Resort Hualālai is seeking a Beach Tree Host who shares a passion for excellence and brings genuine warmth, professionalism, and enthusiasm to every guest interaction. As the first and last impression of the dining experience, our Hosts play an essential role in creating memorable moments while exemplifying the Golden Rule and the spirit of Hawaiian hospitality.

Located just steps from the ocean, Beach Tree is Four Seasons Resort Hualālai's vibrant oceanfront restaurant, offering stunning sunset views and a relaxed yet elevated dining experience. Inspired by the flavors of coastal Italy and the bounty of Hawaiʻi Island, Beach Tree serves handcrafted cuisine in an atmosphere that is welcoming, energetic, and distinctly Hualālai.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Warmly welcome guests and create a positive first impression upon arrival.

• Manage guest seating while thoughtfully balancing reservations, walk-ins, and server sections.

• Escort guests to their tables and ensure all seating arrangements align with guest preferences and service standards.

• Maintain an organized host stand, reservation system, seating chart, and restaurant cover counts.

• Answer telephone calls professionally, manage reservations, and provide accurate information about the restaurant and Resort.

• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to inquiries, requests, and concerns.

• Recognize returning guests whenever possible and personalize interactions using guest names.

• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, daily specials, beverage features, and Resort experiences.

• Ensure menus, host areas, and guest-facing spaces are clean, polished, and presentation-ready.

• Collaborate closely with restaurant leadership and service teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

• Support the team with additional responsibilities as needed to ensure operational excellence.

WHAT TO BRING

• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.

• Previous restaurant, food and beverage, or hospitality experience preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently with guests and team members.

• Ability to remain composed, organized, and professional in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience using reservation management systems such as OpenTable preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining Four Seasons service standards.

• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Ability to obtain a Tuberculosis (TB) Clearance as required by the Hawaiʻi State Department of Health for food and beverage positions.

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
