The Amazon Sustainability Exchange focuses on seven key focus areas: Buildings, Carbon Neutralization, Carbon-Free Energy, Human Rights, Transportation, Waste and Circularity, and Water Stewardship.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Developer for the Carbon Credits Service. As a senior leader on our Worldwide Sustainability team, you will drive customer value and build strategic partnerships—all in service of Amazon's commitment to accelerating climate action.

*Role can be located in Luxembourg also

Key job responsibilities
- Drive sales strategy and execution for the Carbon Credits Service
- Develop and implement customer acquisition and engagement strategies for both the Carbon Credits Service and Amazon Sustainability Exchange
- Build repeatable BD processes, frameworks, and playbooks that enable team scalability
- Lead and manage complex engagements with potential customers, including Climate Pledge signatories, suppliers, and Amazon enterprise customers
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders at the C-suite and executive level
- Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities that align with Amazon's sustainability strategy
- Contribute to business strategy development for both the Carbon Credits Service and Amazon Sustainability Exchange
- Provide thought leadership on customer needs in voluntary carbon markets and sustainability solutions
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder deal negotiations with minimal oversight
- Develop and apply deal frameworks that balance customer needs with business objectives
- Conduct thorough partner diligence and detailed quantitative analysis
- Track and report on key performance metrics (sales, pipeline, conversion rates, customer engagement)
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Amazon, including technology teams, environmental impact teams, and business units
- Synthesize complex partnership, negotiation, and strategy considerations into clear, concise narratives for senior leadership
- Present business performance, strategic recommendations, and insights in high-visibility forums
- Represent Amazon at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements related to carbon markets and sustainability
- Build credibility and trust with internal executives and external partners through strategic thinking and consistent execution

Basic Qualifications


- Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements
- Experience in a professional field or military
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
