About the job

Business Development Operations Associate plays a key role in the development and coordination of proposals and budgets. Working closely with Business Development and Operations teams, this position ensures the delivery of high-quality, client-aligned proposals that support CTI’s strategic growth and client engagement efforts.

What You'll Do

    • Collaborate with BD Sales teams to collect critical information needed to develop competitive budgets and tailored written proposals/work orders that meet Sponsor specifications.
    • Collaborate with Operations teams to gather data necessary for defining project scope, including resource needs and effort estimates, for budget and proposal development.
    • Take ownership of the initial drafting and coordination of standard proposals/work orders using approved templates and timelines, ensuring timely submission for Manager review and approval.
    • Integrate feedback from management and cross-functional operations team members into proposal / budget drafts with accuracy and efficiency.
    • Coordinate the internal review process, including legal and finance approvals, and incorporate necessary revisions related to work orders and payment terms.
    • Finalize and distribute internally approved proposals/work orders to designated Sales and operations team members in line with distribution protocols.
    • Ensure timely and accurate entry of new RFPs and Out-of-Scope opportunities into Salesforce (within 24 hours), including updates to status, comments, LOIs, SUAs, and sent / close dates.
    • Maintain accurate and organized records within the SharePoint repository, including properly labeled versions of budgets, proposals, MSAs, and ballpark estimates.
    • Participate in client and internal meetings to better understand proposal requirements and align deliverables with client expectations.
    • Assist with resource mapping, budgeting units, and cost modeling in Excel-based budget templates.
    • Support the Proposal Department on various project needs as assigned
    • Adhere to the RFP checklist and proposal process standards

What You Bring

  • 2+ years experience in a Clinical Research Organization (CRO)
  • Experience in Business Development or proposals within life sciences
  • Ability to organize and present business and financial information in clear and concise manner
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Effective communicator, including with senior leadership
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly organized and process-oriented
  • Good written and verbal communication abilities
  • Collaborative team player with proficient interpersonal skills
