Job Description

The Mission of BCYF Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for Boston's residents by partnering with various organizations to offer a wide range of comprehensive programs and activities tailored to neighborhood needs and interests. We serve participants of all ages, offering programs such as instructional basketball, floor hockey, bingo, arts and crafts, computer classes, flag football, pickleball, wrestling, soccer, and volleyball. In addition, we host a variety of exciting events year-round, including a Summer Carnival, Halloween party, Holiday party, and other seasonal events.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and oversee the daily schedule and activities. - Supervise staff and participants to maintain a safe, structured environment while setting a positive example. - Manage participant behavior, ensuring adherence to safety rules and guidelines. - Address challenges and adapt the program as needed. - Provide updates on participant progress and behavior as necessary.

The Ideal Candidate for this Job

- Ability to motivate and lead a group, while working effectively with other staff members. - Strong time management skills, with the ability to handle schedules and resources to ensure smooth operation of activities. - Flexibility to adapt plans and activities based on the needs and interests of participants. - Dependability in showing up on time, keeping commitments, and ensuring the safety of campers. - A genuine interest in mentoring and engaging with young people to create memorable experiences.
