
This position follows the wet blue process formula by monitoring temperature ranges, pH levels, and mechanical action, while promptly reporting any formula discrepancies. The role also requires adherence to all safety policies and procedures, completion of assigned duties, and flexibility to work holidays, weekends, and other hours as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School diploma or higher preferred.
Experience: 1 +years' experience in Hides/Tannery process preferred.
Communication Skills: Good written communication skills to follow prescribed formula in the process; good verbal communication skills to work closely with other departments.
Special Skills: Must demonstrate self-motivation and obtain qualification in respiratory protection and SCBA requirements to safely work with chemicals. Responsible for conducting visual inspections of drums and promptly reporting any equipment that is not functioning properly.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and walk on hard, wet, and slippery surfaces for long periods of time, crouch, squat, climb stairs and ladders, and occasionally crawl. Must be able to repetitively lift (occasionally overhead), push, pull, and carry 60 pounds individually and more with assistance. Must be able to continuously and repetitively grasp, reach, pinch, and hold small, medium, and large sized objects frequently. Must be able to work in hot and/or cold, humid, wet, environment.
