Business Acceleration Team (BAT)

The BAT practice at EY provides a rewarding career opportunity, targeted towards becoming a professional in delivering exceptional client service and support in Business Development activities. The team is mandated to support pre-deal and origination activities, including pursuits/origination client meeting decks, capital agenda info packs, value creation opportunity packs, industry insight packs, RFP solutioning, deal economics, orals participation, thought leadership packs and idea generation support. The opportunity

We are looking for Managers with experience in Life Sciences and Healthcare sector to join the BAT Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm and help drive revenue growth by working closely with EY stakeholders on new pursuits and support the practice in developing end-to-end proposals and proposal presentations to clients

Your key responsibilities

• Conducting sector-based (Life Sciences and Healthcare) research and working on company documents, Sector PoVs, industry documents and unstructured problem statements
• Identifying sector themes for generating actionable business development analysis focused on Business Consulting and Technology Consulting domain
• Develop in-depth knowledge on Life Sciences & Healthcare sector/sub-sectors, to be able to add value while analyzing financial and strategic information of clients, and identifying opportunities based on market developments
• Undertake quality check (both qualitative and quantitative) to ensure:
  • Output is insightful and as per expectation of onsite teams
  • Delivering within agreed timelines
• Manage/handle multiple pursuits requests at a time and work with cross-functional teams to bring in appropriate expertise as per client needs
• Measure, monitor and improve client service by driving excellence in service delivery
• Develop excellent relationships with regional stakeholders and be responsible for a high degree of client satisfaction with origination process and work products
• Become embedded throughout origination lifecycle from early pursuits to RFP solutioning and delivery hand-off
• Work extensively on driving account growth through functional and sector specialized pitches

To qualify for this role:

Must Have:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Systems, Engineering, Economics, or Social/Organizational Science and other similar fields; a Master’s degree OR MBA OR Master’s in business administration is preferred.
• 9+ years of relevant work experience
• Past experience in Life Sciences (Pharmaceuticals and MedTech) and Healthcare (Payers/Providers) sectors
• Strong understanding of Tech and AI-led solutions to address client problems
• Experience in Go to market documents, company and/or industry research and thought leadership documents
• Strategy Consulting Projects: The candidate should have experience in working on projects/workstreams such as strategy design, go-to market strategy, investment strategy and feasibility studies, transformation roadmap, competitive benchmarking, revenue and cost management, value creation, operating model strategy, AI-led digital strategy, digital transformation, pricing strategy and performance management framework (all or at least few)
• Business Acumen to drive actionable outcomes for clients with the latest industry trends, innovations & disruptions, metrics & value drivers
• Good Business sense and logical reasoning and should be able to conceptualize research storyboard along with strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
• Self-starter, proactive, comfortable working independently and taking on significant responsibility
• Experienced in presenting findings clearly in reports and other deliverables to clients
• Experience in mentoring, developing talent, and managing direct reports
• Able to simplify complex topics for senior stakeholders; strong written and presentation skills.
