"Battery Helper" Role Overview:

The Battery Helper supports the Field Operations Installation team in the installation of battery systems, including Sonnen battery cabinets. This role involves hands-on, physically demanding work in a field environment and requires reliability, teamwork, and a strong willingness to learn. The Battery Helper plays a key role in supporting efficient, safe, and high-quality installations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the installation of Sonnen battery cabinets and related systems

  • Support technicians and foremen with general installation tasks and field operations

  • Use hand tools and perform basic construction-related work

  • Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment as needed

  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects

  • Maintain a clean and organized job site

  • Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures

  • Work collaboratively with the installation team to meet project timelines and goals

Required Qualifications:

Education Requirements:

    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Technical/trade school training in solar, battery, or electrical systems preferred

Required Skills:

    • Basic knowledge of hand tools required

    • General construction knowledge preferred

    • Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift heavy objects

    • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

    • Reliable and punctual with consistent attendance

    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

    • Solar experience is a plus but not required

    • Ability to work 40–50 hours per week, with flexibility based on project needs

    • Willingness to work weekends as needed

    • Must adhere to all safety protocols and company policie

Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to work in extreme environments (hot, humid, rain, etc.)
    • Ability to work within the safe range of equipment such as ladders, fall protection harnesses, and PPE
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
    • Ability to withstand heights, climb ladders, and access roofs (daily)
    • Ability to lift 50–75+ lbs. regularly
    • Must be available for 8–10 hour shifts and flexible hours when needed
    • Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing required
