for cell sealing, insulation, and tab interfaces.

Design Validation

Perform tolerance stack-up analysis, thermal
expansion analysis, and mechanical stress analysis (using FEA tools).

Collaborate
on mechanical testing plans (e.g., crush, drop, vibration, thermal cycling
tests).

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work with electro chemistry teams to ensure
design supports optimal cell performance.

Interface
with thermal, electrical, and manufacturing teams for integrated design.

Support
cell integration into modules/packs in collaboration with system integration
teams.

DFMEA

-
Ensure
designs are suitable for high-volume manufacturing.

-
Incorporate
feedback from suppliers and manufacturing engineers to optimize production
readiness.

Documentation & Compliance:

Generate technical drawings and design
documentation.

Ensure
compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., UL, IEC, ISO). Gather strategic information to make
data-driven decisions and identify creative solutions to key program challenge

Requirements

• 
  In-depth knowledge of battery cell materials, battery cell
  manufacturing
• 
  Understanding of mechanical part stress, fatigue, and thermal expansion.
• 
  Experienced in process: Sealing and welding techniques (e.g., laser
  welding for tabs)
• 
  CATIA,
  NX, SolidWorks, or Creo
• 
  GD&T
  (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• 
  PLM
  systems (Teamcenter, Windchill, etc.)
• 
  Degree or relevant experience in Engineering
  or a related technical field
• 
  Strong technical aptitude and understanding
  of process engineering principles
• 
  Excellent project management, leadership, and
  communication skills
• 
  Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced
  environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
• 
  Familiarity with industry standards, best
  practices, and compliance requirements
