Job Description

Meridian Adhesives Group is a rapidly growing, full service global adhesive solutions provider, specializing in adhesive technologies used in electronics, industrial, and infrastructure applications. Under the direction of the Site Leader, packages liquid adhesives into various bulk containers by following specific instructions and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

Produce quality products as scheduled and on time.

  • Complete daily production requirements by following production schedule.
  • Maintain assigned equipment by performing required pre-operational, in process and post batch inspections. Immediately report any possibilities of contamination, needed mechanical repair or safety issues to management.
  • Follow detailed instructions to ensure proper filter usage and fill weight on all packaged products.
  • Utilize daily production schedule to prepare for upcoming production.
  • Utilize forklift to deliver packaged products to finished good warehouse in safe and orderly manner.
  • Build and band corrugated totes.
  • Take samples of finished products to turn into quality control.
  • Label all finished products and ensure accuracy between labels and batch tickets.
  • Fill-in for shipping and receiving as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Housekeeping

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, facility and equipment by following routine housekeeping standards.
  • Cap or plug hose and plumbing fittings when not in use.
  • Properly store all properly capped, covered or closed operating supplies such as raw materials, drums, totes, etc. in their designated locations before the end of the shift.
  • Remove empty raw material containers, packages, bags and sacks before the end of the shift.
  • Equipment must be kept clean of raw material residue, chemicals and adhesive.
  • Sweep and mop work areas as needed and at the end of each shift. Rinse mop heads and mop buckets and return to the proper storage area after each use.
  • Return cleaning equipment to assigned area after each use.

Safety

  • Maintain a safe working environment by following the Meridian “Safety Rules and Guidelines” and the “Code of Safe Practices” as defined in the “Employee Safety Handbook”, and by Company policy.
  • Maintain respirator certification through required physicals and fit tests.

Other Duties

  • Participate in physical inventory and cycle counting.
  • Contribute to team effort, i.e. assisting in any area required, etc.
  • Train designated employees on compounding procedures.
  • Participate in safety, loss control, accident, incident and rework investigations, as assigned.

  • Take directions and apply to the assigned task

Working Conditions

  • May work in temperature and weather extremes

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Experience in a related field
  • Current forklift certification training
  • Valid state driver’s license, with a good driving record

COMPENSATION & BENEIFITS

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 1st Shift 6:00 am-2:30pm Monday - Friday

Pay: This position has a salary range of $30.29. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location

Bonus Pay: Meridian offers an incentive plan for 2025 focused on safety, quality, and financial metrics. Eligible employees have the opportunity to earn up to $1,520 a year, with earned payments distributed quarterly throughout the year.
