Job Description

Batcher / Relief Agitator Driver Wanted!

Join us as a Batcher/ Relief Agitator Driver and enjoy competitive pay, overtime opportunities, and a supportive team culture. You’ll operate modern, well‑maintained agitator trucks while also providing relief batching support when required. No two days are the same. Your work will be a mix of driving, batching, yard duties, and customer interaction, all contributing to the delivery of high‑quality concrete to our customers.

Why This Role?

  • Batcher/ Relief Agitator based out of our Bundaberg Concrete Plant.
  • Hourly rate: ranging from $32.61 to $37.90 depending on experience.
  • Overtime: time and a half after 7.6 hours, double time after 9.6 hours.
  • 45 to 55 average weekly hours, Monday to Friday, with Saturday work.
  • Operate modern, well‑maintained trucks featuring advanced safety technology, route mapping, and load tracking.
  • Enjoy daily variety with, batching support, agitator driving and occasional loader work, stock take, and yard duties.
  • 10-day comprehensive training program for all new starters.

Position Duties:

  • Batching of Pre-Mixed Concrete, Allocating of customer jobs.
  • Operating the front-end loader (for those with ticket or experience).
  • Completing stock takes.
  • Performing pre-start checks.
  • Loading and delivering concrete as an agitator driver.
  • Yard duties which include the cleaning of trucks and general site maintenance.
  • Supporting purchasing activities.
  • Ensuring safety and quality procedures are always followed.

About You

  • A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence.
  • A current White Card (or willingness to obtain).
  • SAP and Command batching system experience, or willingness to learn.
  • Experience ordering materials and maintaining adequate stock levels.
  • Ability to assist in plant maintenance and ensure operational readiness.
  • Strong customer communication skills, with the ability to represent the business professionally on-site.
  • Good computer literacy and the ability to follow processes.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
  • A safety‑first attitude and commitment to maintaining a clean, presentable truck.
