Salary Range: $14.00 - $18.00 Hourly,

Job Category: Government, Basketball Youth Referee: Wage: Your age per game officiated. Tuesday-Thursday, Ages 14 - 16 4:30 pm-7:00 pm. Ages 16 + schedule various between 4:30 pm - 9:30pm. League begins October 26th and runs through end of February. No games on Holiday.

Essential Functions

  • Assists in court set-up and take down
  • Basketball Youth Referee: Responsible for game time refereeing. Will be trained and then accountable for proper game-time ref calls. Able to communicate with parents, coaches and players regarding rules and league play.
  • May be asked to fill in as a scorekeeper.

Work Environment

  • The youth league is held indoors at the Farmington City Gymnasium. Tasks require variety of physical activities, not generally involving muscular strain such as walking, standing, stooping, sitting, reaching, and lifting.
  • Talking, hearing, and seeing essential to effective performance of essential functions. Common eye, hand, finger dexterity exist. Mental application utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, discrimination thinking, and creative problem-solving.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 14 years of age at the time of hire.
  • Must demonstrate reliability, responsibility, and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Applicants 18 years of age or older must pass a background check.
