Job Location: Rainier Beach Community Center - Seattle, WA 98118
Position Type: Part Time
Salary Range: $23.00 - $25.00 Hourly

Basketball Instructor (Rainier Beach Community Center)
Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is seeking a qualified Basketball Instructor to teach youth basketball classes at Rainier Beach.
This position focuses on teaching fundamental basketball skills in a positive, structured, and inclusive environment.
Status: Part-time, Seasonal (March – November)
Work Schedule: Mondays, 4:15 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.
Desired Start Date: March 23, 2026
Basketball Instructor Responsibilities:
- Instruct participants in fundamental basketball skills, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense
- Lead drills and skill-building activities
- Supervise participants and maintain a safe and positive learning environment
- Set up and clean up equipment and activity areas
- Communicate effectively with ARC staff and site supervisors
- Follow ARC and Seattle Parks and Recreation policies and procedures
Basketball Instructor 

Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Experience coaching or instructing basketball in a recreational, school, or community setting
- Experience working with children or youth
- Ability to manage groups in a positive and supportive manner
Pay:
- Starting Pay: $23.00 – $25.00/ hr
- Full Pay Range: $23.00-33.00/hr (employee may earn up to $33.00/hr with continued employment)
