Serves as assistant to a Youth Basketball Program Director and acts as Director in that person's absence. Instructs participants, conducts drills, serves as coach for informal house league teams. May coach an informal game in a nearby town. Performs related duties as needed.
Season: Early December – Late February
Approx. Hours Per Week: 5-7, which may depend on program and location.
Considerable basketball coaching and/or instructional experience involving children. Good communication skills.
Current certification in both First Aid and CPR is preferred. CPR certification training is offered to interested applicants.
All employees will be subject to a background check. Employees may be required to attend a staff meeting or coaching workshop; the coaching workshop may be completed online.
