About the Role
Join the Sizewell C (SZC) Project Controls team and help deliver one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure programmes. As a Baseline & Change Engineer, you’ll play a key supporting role in ensuring that all project changes are effectively captured, assessed, and governed. Working alongside the Baseline & Change Manager within the Programme Management Office (PMO), you’ll support the coordination and implementation of change control processes that ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with early to mid-level experience in project controls, PMO, or commercial management to develop their career on a major programme.
Key Responsibilities
Support the effective application of the change management process
Assist in developing and maintaining change strategies and governance frameworks
Support the facilitation of programme change committees
Support the management of the programme baseline (scope, cost, schedule)
Coordinate inputs across cost, schedule, and risk
Ensure all changes are tracked, integrated, and communicated effectively
Assist in producing monthly Baseline & Change reports
Validate and maintain high-quality change data and reporting outputs
Ensure alignment of change activity with governance cycles
Support Project Managers and Change Owners in applying change control procedures
Work with delivery teams and PMO functions to ensure effective change implementation
Provide guidance to improve understanding and compliance with governance standards
Review and challenge change submissions
Ensure all impacts (cost, schedule, risk) are properly assessed
Support robust decision-making through high-quality data and documentation
Assist in preparing materials for change committee meetings
Support governance forums to operate efficiently with accurate information
Ensure approved changes are correctly implemented across project systems
Maintain consistency and integrity of programme-wide data
Provide guidance and training on change processes and tools
Support continuous improvement of change capability across the programme
Here's What You'll Need
Degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline
Experience in: Project Controls, PMO Programme or Commercial environments
Understanding of: Change control processes, Governance frameworks, WBS / CBS structures
Strong organisational and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Desirable Experience
Knowledge of project controls tools and systems
Experience working on large infrastructure or complex programmes
Understanding of: Contract frameworks (e.g. NEC), Early warning processes and contractor/client workflows
Exposure to change control within a structured baseline environment
