Job Title: Varsity Baseball Head Coach

Job Description:

Coopersotwn is seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Varsity Baseball Head Coach to lead our high school baseball program. The Head Coach will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the varsity baseball team, including planning practices, developing game strategies, mentoring student-athletes, and promoting a culture of sportsmanship and excellence on and off the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute effective practice sessions and game strategies.
• Foster individual player development and team cohesion.
• Instill and model good sportsmanship, discipline, and work ethic.
• Coordinate with athletic department staff and adhere to school and league policies.
• Oversee assistant coaches and ensure a unified coaching philosophy across all levels.
• Monitor academic progress and support student-athletes in achieving academic eligibility.
• Maintain equipment and manage team logistics (e.g., schedules, transportation, uniforms).
• Promote the program within the school and the community to encourage participation and support.

• Completion or willingness to complete NYSED coaching requirements:
• First Aid & CPR Certification
• DASA Training
• Concussion Management Training
• SAVE Training
• Fingerprint clearance through NYSED
• Skills & Traits:
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes.
• Knowledge of baseball fundamentals, training techniques, and game strategy.
• Commitment to player safety, academic achievement, and personal growth.
• Ability to collaborate with faculty, parents, and community members.
