MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Develop and supervise the execution of the Preventive Maintenance plan oriented to Melt Shop Cranes, ensuring equipment reliability through systematic failure and problem and performance analysis, as well as define corrective actions and generate improvement opportunities.
  • Support the Engineering area in the research and assessment of the best equipment available and the start-up of new equipment and provide technical support to emergency crews and staff.
  • Perform and oversee inspections for all the cranes in the facility.
  • Guarantee technical resource availability, ensuring a suitable minimum stock.
  • Draw up the maintenance cost budget and keep costs within agreed limits.
  • Ensure the application of health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards and practices.
  • Comply with HSE procedures by reporting incidents, performing inspections, participating in the investigation process, and implementing preventive/corrective action.
  • Maintain up-to-date risk analyses and environmental aspect assessments.
  • Participate in the development of maintenance information systems and support actions and analyze and use the information provided to support the decision-making process.
  • Participate in maintenance programs to minimize/optimize the use of required energy.
  • Analyze, interpret, and recommend courses of action for more complex topics.
  • Collaborate with internal and/or external contacts with a higher level of autonomy.
  • Comply with Tenaris policies, procedures, and management standards, ensuring adherence to law and regulations.
  • Proactively motivate, coach, communicate with and develop staff and manage Human Resources (HR) related activities in line with HR norms and procedures.
  • Protect from damage, theft, or misuse of the facilities, equipment, and other physical resources.
  • Available to respond to emergencies during night shifts and weekends as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a related occupation performing each of the following: developing preventive maintenance program for weekly maintenance inspections and daily inspection routines applied to cranes in heavy industries; implementing predictive maintenance techniques, including vibration analysis applied to mobile equipment; conducting root cause analysis using the 5 Whys method and fault tree analysis; utilizing precision instruments to verify mechanical integrity and dimensional consistency of equipment parts; and utilizing SAP to manage and control maintenance environment.
