With 13 beautifully appointed rooms and visually stunning food with vibrant organic seasonal ingredients from Daylesford Farm, The Bell combines comforting dishes with culinary flair Deeply rooted in the community, it regularly hosts events and workshops in collaboration with local organisations.

Under the guidance of Nathan Walker-Unwin—an integral figure in the opening of two acclaimed Daylesford pubs—The Bell fosters a culture where every team member is valued and every guest is welcomed like family

ABOUT THE ROLE
As our team continues to grow, we’re on the lookout for a passionate Bartender to join us and help elevate our drinks offering.

You will be a core member of delivering our bespoke range of handcrafted, artisanal cocktails - made with the freshest, seasonal ingredients to our guests, particularly in our stunning beer garden – a favourite spot for locals and visitors alike.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a calm, guest-focused environment and enjoys creating memorable experiences through warm hospitality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Crafting and serving a wide range of beverages, from classic cocktails to local ales and seasonal specials

  • Bringing creativity and flair to our drinks menu, with opportunities to suggest new ideas and seasonal offerings.

  • Creating memorable guest experiences through friendly, attentive service.

  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area.

  • Supporting the team during busy service periods and contributing to a positive working environment.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a bartender or mixologist in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

  • A genuine passion for drinks, hospitality, and customer service.

  • Strong knowledge of spirits, wines, and cocktail techniques.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A proactive attitude and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

*The on target earning potential for this role is £33,469.20 per annum based on a 45-hour contract - comprising a base salary of £28,969.20, plus a qualified estimate of £4,500 in gratuities and service charge*. Please note this role is paid hourly so this is a projected salary and OTE.

About gratuities & service charge:

  • Gratuities are paid on a pro-rata basis.

  • It is estimated that in 2026, our full-time employees can expect to receive in the range of £4,500 in addition to their annual salary.
