The Bartender is responsible for ensuring guests are served beverages in accordance with AGLC regulations and Canadian laws. The role will be focused on fulfilling drink orders while also being responsible for the set-up, tear-down, and overall cleanliness of the bar area.
What We Offer
Key Accountabilities
• Quickly and accurately prepares drinks for servers based on POS chits
• Pour drinks and follow recipes according to the restaurant specifications
• Ensure a clean and organized work area is maintained
• Set-up and tear-down the bar area according to service requirements
• Follow all AGLC regulations and Canadian laws pertaining to alcohol service
• Collaborate with serving staff to ensure a quick and accurate fulfillment of orders
• Take orders and process payments
• Maintain an accurate cash float and liquor inventory
• All other duties as assigned.
THE INDIVIDUAL
The ideal candidate will have the following background:
• Responsible Service awareness is preferred
• Prior food and beverage and bartending experience is required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple guests and suites at once
• Strong interpersonal and team work skills
• Exemplary customer service skills
• Schedule flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts.
Certifications
• Must be ProServe certified and be 18 years of age or older;
• High school diploma is considered and asset.
Please note, this position is based on the event schedule in a fast paced environment, with emphasis on evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays. Shift lengths vary, and require flexible working times.
