Job Description

Bartender

Superior Shores Resort | Two Harbors, Minnesota

If you love great conversation, beautiful views, and creating a memorable guest experience, you’ll fit right in at Superior Shores Restaurant & Bar.

As a Bartender, you’ll be at the heart of the guest experience—serving up handcrafted cocktails, local beers, wine, and great food while helping guests relax and enjoy their time on the North Shore. Whether someone is stopping in for a quick drink after a day exploring Lake Superior or settling in for dinner with friends and family, you’ll help make their visit one to remember.

Our restaurant offers American cuisine with a modern twist, along with an extensive beverage selection and incredible views of Lake Superior. Every shift brings new guests, new conversations, and plenty of opportunities to show off your hospitality skills.

What You’ll Do

  • Welcome guests with a friendly, genuine attitude and create a welcoming bar environment
  • Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and other beverages according to recipes and guest preferences
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations and answer questions about our beverage and food menus
  • Take food orders and provide attentive service to guests seated at the bar
  • Accurately enter food and beverage orders and communicate clearly with the kitchen
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar throughout each shift
  • Monitor guest needs and provide attentive service without being intrusive
  • Check identification and follow all applicable alcohol service laws and responsible service practices
  • Accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and guest checks
  • Maintain proper inventory and communicate restocking needs to management
  • Complete opening, closing, and side work responsibilities
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and restaurant policies
  • Work closely with servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and management to provide excellent service
  • Help create a fun, welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back

What We’re Looking For

  • A friendly, outgoing personality and genuine passion for hospitality
  • Previous bartending experience preferred, but we’re willing to train the right person
  • Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and basic beverage preparation
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy restaurant environment
  • Dependable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Must meet applicable age requirements for bartending and alcohol service

Why Superior Shores?

You’ll be working at one of the North Shore’s most beautiful resort destinations, surrounded by Lake Superior and a team that believes hospitality should feel genuine, welcoming, and fun.

Our guests come to Superior Shores to relax, explore, celebrate, and make memories—and as a Bartender, you’ll be right in the middle of that experience.

If you enjoy good drinks, great people, and working somewhere with a view you’ll never get tired of, we’d love to have you join us.

Come work where every shift feels a little more “Up North.”

About Leisure Hotels & Resorts

Passion Drives Us, But Reason Holds the Reins

While delivering service and hospitality is in our dna, what really sets the team at Leisure Hotels and Resorts apart is the orchestration, development and management of our passion for hospitality. Without understanding how to manage guest service, resort activities and the complexities involved in lodging properties, passion is simply an empty promise.

Our approach with every operating environment is both completely the same and altogether different. Our fundamentals are rooted in honesty, transparency, fiscal responsibility and talent management and we bring that to role and every opportunity.

But what sets us apart is the range of opportunities we’ve been exposed to.

From indoor waterparks, fine-dining restaurants, fly fishing lodges and ski resorts, to 5-star hotels, homeowner associations, indoor climbing facilities, golf courses and spas, there is very little within the global hospitality industry that we haven’t seen, managed or helped succeed.

Let us put our passion, and our practicality, to work for you.
