About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca,the Bartender is responsible for crafting and serving high-quality beverages, delivering exceptional service, and maintaining the bar area in pristine condition.

AsBartender,you willbe responsible forthe following duties:

  • Understanding the outlet’s concept and beverageofferings andconfidently explaining them to guests.

  • Crafting and serving high-quality cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, wines, spirits, and beers, garnishing them to standard and recommending drinks whenappropriate

  • Ensuring bar miseenplaceis prepared for efficient service,maintainingall ingredients, bottles, and equipment in order and checking inventory daily.

  • Assisting theHead ofBarsin creating new cocktails, supporting menu promotions, and keeping product knowledge up to date.

  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the bar and storage areas, including deep cleaning and proper fridge management.

  • Handling POS operations, processing orders, and supporting cashiering tasks as needed.

  • Delivering personalized, friendly service,observingguest needs, creating WOW moments, and ensuring satisfaction from arrival to departure in line withMOHG Legendary Quality Experiences (LQEs)andMOHGstandards

  • Communicating effectively with colleagues and management, proactively supporting the team, and reporting guest preferences to ensure seamless service.

  • To carry out any additional duties requested by management related to hotel operational activities

  • Follow the principle of the 5Ps “Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance” at all times and in all activities

  • Maintain extensive knowledge of cocktails, alcoholicbeveragesand non-alcoholic beverages

  • Provide guidance across all outlets in coffee preparation and service, assisting when necessary

  • Offer appropriate beverage suggestions based on guest preferences, promoting and upselling in a positive and friendly manner when suitable

  • Maintain and organize appropriate stock levels, ensuring sufficient inventory for daily operations

  • Ensure all glassware, chinaware and utensils required for beverage service are in proper condition at all times and record any breakages in the outlet breakage list

  • Follow up on any maintenance issues affecting service

  • Maintain beverage presentation and drink appearance standards at all times

  • Work closely with managers, keeping them promptly and fully informed of all relevant bar matters

  • Demonstrate strong teamwork by proactively supporting colleagues in operational tasks andassistingwith general table maintenance during bar and beverage service

  • Engage proactively with guests on beverage-related matters, providing recommendations that suit their preferences and requirements

AsBartender, we expectyou: 

Experience and education

  • Hold a degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.

  • Have at least 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Previousexperience in luxury hospitalityis preferred

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of luxury beverage service and hospitality standards.

  • Ability toanticipateguest needs and deliver personalized, memorable experiences.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to ensure smooth operations.

  • Professional presentation, warm demeanor, and passion for service.

  • Familiarity with POS systems and standard bar procedures.

  • Awareness of health, safety, and hygiene standards in all service areas.
