About the role:

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, espresso beverages, teas, juices, smoothies, and other specialty beverages while providing attentive and efficient guest service. This role will support operations across Florie’s Restaurant and Cocoanut, adapting service style and responsibilities to the needs of each outlet. This position is part of the Food & Beverage team and reports to Food & Beverage Management.

Florie’s is the culinary centerpiece of Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach, created in collaboration with acclaimed Chef Mauro Colagreco. Inspired by Mediterranean flavors, local ingredients, and live-fire cooking, Florie’s combines culinary craftsmanship with exceptional hospitality.

Cocoanut offers a relaxed and convenient take-away experience featuring expertly prepared coffee and espresso beverages, teas, fresh juices, smoothies, pastries, and thoughtfully curated grab-and-go selections. Together, the two outlets offer the Barista exposure to distinct styles of luxury Food & Beverage service.

What you will do:

• Prepare and serve espresso-based beverages, coffee, teas, juices, smoothies, and seasonal specialty drinks according to Four Seasons standards
• Deliver warm, personalized, and professional service to guests at both Florie’s and Cocoanut
• Maintain strong knowledge of coffee, tea, specialty beverages, pastries, and other menu offerings
• Prepare beverages consistently while maintaining quality, taste, presentation, and appropriate service times
• Support specialty coffee service at Florie’s, working closely with Servers and the restaurant team to enhance the dining experience
• Provide efficient take-away service at Cocoanut, accurately managing guest orders and transactions
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other Food & Beverage equipment safely and effectively
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked beverage and service stations throughout each shift
• Monitor product quality and freshness and communicate shortages or replenishment needs to management
• Receive, organize, and properly store products and supplies while following appropriate rotation procedures
• Assist guests with recommendations and promote specialty beverages, pastries, and featured offerings
• Process guest transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems when required
• Complete opening, closing, and daily cleaning responsibilities
• Collaborate with Culinary, Restaurant, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure seamless service
• Follow all sanitation, food safety, workplace safety, and Four Seasons service standards

What you bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a barista, café, restaurant, hotel, or similar Food & Beverage environment preferred
• Knowledge of coffee, espresso preparation, tea, and specialty beverages
• Previous experience operating professional espresso equipment preferred
• Strong communication and guest service skills
• Ability to adapt between restaurant service and fast-paced café/take-away operations
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to beverage consistency and presentation
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain composure during high-volume periods
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Ability to stand throughout the shift and perform the physical responsibilities associated with Food & Beverage operations

Schedule & Hours:

• Flexible schedule required, primarily mornings and afternoons, including weekends and holidays
• Flexibility to work across both Florie’s and Cocoanut based on operational needs
