The Opportunity

Coury Hospitality has an exciting opportunity for a Barista supporting the dual-branded campus of TETRA Hotel, Autograph Collection and AC Hotel Sunnyvale Moffett Park. Together, these two distinctive Marriott brands offer a unique blend of luxury hospitality and modern European-inspired design, serving Silicon Valley's business travelers, innovators, and visitors from around the world.

From handcrafted coffee beverages and grab-and-go offerings to personalized guest interactions, our café experience plays an important role in starting each guest's day. We are seeking an enthusiastic, guest-focused Barista who is passionate about coffee, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences.

As a Barista, You'll:

• Prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages, espresso drinks, teas, and other café offerings according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Deliver exceptional guest service through warm, welcoming, and professional interactions.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of menu offerings and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Operate point-of-sale systems and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards are consistently maintained throughout café and service areas.
• Assist with stocking products, ingredients, supplies, and retail merchandise as needed.
• Monitor product quality and presentation to ensure brand standards are met.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Perform opening, closing, inventory, and cash-handling procedures accurately.
• Assist guests with questions regarding hotel amenities, dining options, and campus offerings.
• Collaborate with fellow Experience Curators to create seamless and memorable guest experiences.

What We're Looking For

• Previous barista, coffee shop, food & beverage, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Knowledge of espresso preparation and specialty coffee beverages preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Strong organizational skills and commitment to cleanliness and quality.
• Basic mathematical and cash-handling skills.
• Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
