As a Barista at Villa Restaurant Group, you will play a pivotal role in crafting memorable experiences for our Guests by preparing and serving a variety of coffee and beverage offerings with precision and enthusiasm. Your warm and friendly interactions with our guests will create a positive atmosphere and leave a lasting impression.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  1. Coffee Preparation: Expertly prepare and serve a wide range of coffee and beverage items, including espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, and tea, adhering to Villa Restaurant Group's standards of quality and consistency.
  2. Guest Service: Welcome Guests with a friendly and approachable demeanor, take orders, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
  3. Order Accuracy: Prepare and present orders accurately, paying close attention to detail to ensure the highest quality beverages are served to our guests.
  4. Cash Handling: Efficiently process guest payments, operate the cash register, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
  5. Product Knowledge: Stay informed about our coffee menu, promotions, and special offerings, and assist guests in making informed choices.
  6. Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee station and equipment, following health and safety guidelines.
  7. Efficiency: Work efficiently, especially during peak periods, to minimize guest wait times while providing top-notch service.
  8. Guest Engagement: Build rapport with Guests by engaging in friendly conversation, ensuring their needs and preferences are met, and addressing any questions or concerns.
  9. Stocking and Inventory: Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and report any inventory discrepancies to the supervisor.
  10. Adherence to Policies: Strictly adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards, including food safety regulations.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Previous experience as a barista or in a similar guest-focused role is preferred.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Basic math skills and cash handling experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional beverages.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and bend and reach to access equipment and supplies.
