As a Barista at The Patisserie at Nemacolin, you will create moments of exceptional hospitality through expertly crafted beverages, thoughtfully presented food and specialty offerings, and genuine guest connections. What You Can Expect
- A welcoming and memorable experience where guests receive attentive, personalized service and discover a sense of warmth and excitement in every interaction, whether ordering a handcrafted beverage, selecting a pastry, or exploring specialty offerings
- Consistent beverage and food presentation through skilled espresso preparation, accurate execution of beverage requests, thoughtful presentation of cakes and pastries, and careful attention to the quality and availability of specialty items
- A polished, service-ready operation by maintaining an organized workstation, preparing for each shift, keeping products and supplies properly stocked, and partnering with the Culinary Team to maintain appropriate food inventory
- Confidence and trust in every transaction through accurate POS use, responsible cash handling, adherence to tender procedures, and careful stewardship of food, beverage, alcohol, and specialty retail assets
- A safe and responsible service environment by following health regulations, food safety practices, departmental SOPs and SOS, and Pennsylvania requirements for responsible alcohol service, including maintaining required RAMP certification
- A culture of service excellence by contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Operational readiness and accountability through participation in inventory and product management
- A foundation for continued growth in hospitality by developing expertise across beverage service, food and beverage operations, guest relations, responsible alcohol service, and the daily disciplines that support an exceptional luxury hospitality experience

- Strong organizational skills, composure, adaptability, sound judgment, and the ability to prioritize competing needs in a high-energy environment

- Pride in maintaining exceptional standards for cleanliness, presentation, accuracy, and service
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age
- Previous barista experience preferred
- Pennsylvania RAMP certification required and must be obtained and maintained in accordance with applicable state requirements
- Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests, associates, and business contacts
- Ability to use a POS system and follow established cash-handling and tender procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to remain effective in a fast-paced environment and work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
