You’ll be working with a friendly, motivated team who you will recruit and lead with your distinctive style and work with them to develop their full potential and ensure everyone provides genuine heartfelt care to our guests You will also work alongside our Restaurant and Bar team, and we know that between you all we will really make a name for ourselves
You will be responsible to complete in all daily coffee preparation and the coffee machine area including all equipment and taking care of all the stock also the cleanliness from opening to closing.
Regarding the role, it’s as the job title says really, you are responsible for providing a vibrant environment for our guests to ‘kick back’ in and chill out with their favourite coffee.
Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers; selling coffee and coffee grinding and brewing equipment, accessories, and supplies; preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries and cookies.
Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
Educates guests by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions.
Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, cold-brew, nitro, cold-drip, and Turkish, amongst others.
Generates revenues by attracting new guests and expanded services and products.
Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar.
Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs and ensure that all are well maintain and work well.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Enhances coffee area reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
To assist other venues when required with the direction of the Banquet Manager and Director of Restaurants and Bars.
The role is to play a dual role whereby you will not only attend the coffee requests given by guests but also act as an F&B attendant assist the venue’s operations by stepping outside of the bar counter and take orders, clean and wait guests and tables when required
It’s a physical role and although there are the usual meetings, briefings and of course emails to check, you will be on your feet most of the day out and about chatting with your guests and your team, so fitness will be key for you, although reasonable adjustments will be made where we canWe would love it if you were multilingual, but it’s not essential

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
A genuine passion for specialty coffee and delivering elevated guest experiences
Previous barista experience, preferably within a luxury hotel, fine dining, or upscale café environment
Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, espresso machines, and beverage presentation
A polished, professional appearance with exceptional grooming standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and engaging service style
Knowledge of latte art and premium beverage trends
Ability to work efficiently while maintaining precision and attention to detail
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays
