Great coffee. Big Impact.
About the role
We are on the lookout for skilled and passionate Café staff to join our team at The Little Social's Alfred Hospital location! If you are looking on the floor with a team passionate about coffee, community and impact, here is your chance.
At The Little Social, every coffee and every meal served does more than fuel the day, it fuels change. We’re a social enterprise powered by Youth Projects, a Melbourne-based charity providing vital frontline support to people experiencing disadvantage, homelessness, and unemployment.
How can we further that commitment to change? Well, through our cafés, we also provide young people the chance to gain real-world hospitality experience, skills and confidence to create real opportunities through our renowned Here for Hospitality Program!
As a Café All Rounder at the new Footscray Hospital, you’ll be an all-round team player with standout barista skills, a passion for good food and even better service; helping us deliver an exceptional café experience to staff, patients, and visitors while creating a warm and welcoming space for everyone who walks through our doors.
What you’ll be doing
About you
More about us, The Little Social
At The Little Social you’re serving more than just a hot drink on a cold morning, you’re giving the community the power to contribute to a wider cause, one that they believe in! We are looking beyond the cup of coffee in front of us and using our platform as a tool to empower young people to lead meaningful lives. Each young person has a platform at The Little Social to build self-confidence, gain key employability skills and genuine work experience in a supportive and judgement free environment.
The Little Social is powered by Youth Projects - an independent, registered charity who provides front line support to individuals and young people experiencing disadvantage, homelessness, unemployment, alcohol and other drug issues through a range of holistic and wrap around support services. Youth Projects is on a mission to provide high impact support, without judgement, full stop.
Why join us?
Working at The Little Social means being part of something bigger than a café job. You’ll join a passionate team where coffee, food, and community come together, and every shift supports life-changing work through Youth Projects.
