GENERAL SUMMARY

The Barista prepares and serves high-quality beverages from the Daily Dose Kafé, provides excellent and prompt customer service, and maintains a clean and safe working environment.

Klickitat Valley Health is a rural, critical-access hospital located in scenic Goldendale, Washington, only two hours from Portland along the breathtaking Columbia River Gorge. KVH offers emergency and acute inpatient care and a full scope of ancillary services including General Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory, Respiratory Therapy, PT / OT, Behavioral Health, Dental, Pain Management, Optometry and Hospice. The hospital also owns a busy, well-established primary clinic on the hospital campus. Inpatient care is managed 24/7 by hospitalist staff. KVH employs over 300 staff.

Casual positions are not eligible for benefits.

Qualifications

Minimum Education, Training & Experience (includes licenses or certifications):

Safety Sensitive per WASB5123: NO

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Food Handlers License

Experience:

• Experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required.
• Experience in the retail industry is preferred but not required.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Take, prepare, and serve beverages of customer choice
• Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
• Check the temperature of refrigerator(s)
• Provide customers with detailed product information, including coffee blends and preparation methods.
• Order, receive, and stock supplies
• Receive and process customer payments
• Create materials for advertising daily dose specials, products, or events
