Job Category: Restaurant - Food ServiceThe Bar Support Staff member (Barback/Host/Food Runner) is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and flow of the bar and service areas. This role acts as a liaison between the kitchen, bartenders, and guests, assisting with greeting, seating, delivering food, and restocking the bar to ensure efficiency. This position is ideal for a fast-paced, detail-oriented individual looking to develop skills in the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Barback Duties:
- Stock & Replenish: Maintain fully stocked bars with liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, and ice.
- Glassware: Wash, polish, and restock glassware to ensure a constant supply.
• Food Runner Duties:
- Delivery: Deliver food and drinks from the kitchen to guests promptly, ensuring accuracy.
- Service Support: Assist servers and bartenders by clearing empty glasses and bussing tables.
• Host Duties:
- Guest Service: Greet and seat guests warmly, manage wait times, and help answer guest questions.
- Atmosphere: Maintain a clean, welcoming entrance and dining area.
• General Support:
- Cleanliness: Maintain high sanitation standards, remove trash, and clean up spills promptly.
- Communication: Coordinate with management, kitchen, and bar staff to maintain efficient service.

Qualifications & Requirements
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours, and lift up to 50–60 lbs (kegs, heavy trays).
• Skills: Strong multitasking, communication, and organizational skills.
• Attitude: Proactive, positive, and works well under pressure.
• Availability: Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
