Located high above the Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands, The Sunset House offers a unique rooftop experience where stunning views, seasonal dining and expertly crafted cocktails meet warm, authentic hospitality. We're looking for an experienced and passionate Bar Supervisor who will take genuine ownership of the venue, inspire the team, and build authentic connections with our guests. This is more than a supervisory role. We're seeking someone who treats the venue as if it were their own, leads from the front, and helps shape the culture and success of The Sunset House every day.

Position Summary:

As Bar Supervisor, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the rooftop bar and restaurant, ensuring exceptional service standards and a welcoming atmosphere for guests and associates alike.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and motivating the bar team during service
  • Delivering memorable and personalised guest experiences
  • Acting as a visible and approachable leader on the floor
  • Supporting the management team in achieving service, quality and financial goals
  • Supervising opening and closing procedures
  • Managing stock control, ordering, and beverage presentation standards
  • Training, coaching, and developing associates
  • Handling guest feedback and resolving issues professionally and proactively
  • Ensuring compliance with liquor licensing, food safety and Marriott brand standards
  • Maintaining a positive, energetic and high-performing team culture

  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
