Job Description

The Lead Bartender is responsible for overseeing bar operations and ensuring the preparation and service of high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established standards. This role ensures exceptional guest service, maintains inventory control, and upholds cleanliness, organization, and compliance procedures.

• Inspect and prepare the bar prior to opening to ensure adequate supplies and operational readiness.
• Order or request additional inventory as needed to maintain appropriate par levels.
• Oversee and execute proper bar setup procedures.
• Prepare garnishes, mixers, and batch/pre-mixed beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Greet and provide attentive service to members and guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Mix, prepare, and serve beverages in accordance with approved recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Accurately process and collect payments for beverages served.
• Address guest concerns promptly and escalate complaints to management when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, storage spaces, and equipment.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of liquor, beer, wine, tobacco products, and related supplies to ensure par stock levels are consistently met.
• Complete daily inventory counts and maintain records identifying high-demand products.
• Ensure proper closing procedures, including cleaning, securing inventory, and locking up the bar.
• Attend and contribute to staff meetings as required.
• Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and regulations (must be at least 21 years of age).
• Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.

Requirements

• Six months of bartending experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with employees, dining room staff and guests.
• ServSafe Alcohol Training & License Required or able to obtain within 30 days of hire
