Pier One Sydney Harbour is seeking an experienced and energetic Bar Manager in one of Sydney’s most iconic waterfront locations. About the Role

As Bar Manager, You will help lead and develop a high-performing team, maintain exceptional service standards and oversee the operational and commercial success of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help lead the daily operation of all bar outlets, ensuring smooth, efficient and engaging service
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences by leading from the floor and supporting the team during busy service periods
  • Inspire, coach and develop associates to perform at their best
  • Maintain high standards across beverage preparation, presentation, cleanliness and service
  • Oversee the preparation of cocktails, mixed drinks and personalised beverage experiences
  • Manage beverage ordering, stock control, stocktakes and inventory levels
  • Monitor beverage costs, minimise wastage and support the achievement of departmental financial targets
  • Contribute to the development of beverage menus, promotions and experiences that reflect the Pier One brand
  • Build strong relationships with guests, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Develop and deliver training to strengthen product knowledge, technical skills and service confidence
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, rostering and performance development within the bar team
  • Ensure compliance with liquor licensing requirements, RSA obligations, food safety standards and hotel procedures
  • Create an inclusive, positive and engaging environment where associates feel connected to the Pier One culture

About You

  • Previous leadership experience in a bar management or similar food and beverage role
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine and contemporary beverage trends
  • A current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and motivating a diverse team
  • Strong operational, stock management and cost-control capabilities
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
  • A hands-on leadership style and confidence working in a fast-paced environment
