THE ROLE
Fishers Event Center has an excellent and immediate opening for a part-time Bar Back.This positionis responsible forthe overallstocking, replenishing, cleaning, maintenance, and preparation of beveragesof alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including inventory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for completing tasks related to stocking, replenishing, cleaning, maintenance, and preparation of beverages under the guidance of the Bartender.
Maintains and stocks adequate supplies of bar items such as glasses, cups, napkins, drink supplies, condiments, etc.
Wash glasses and other serving equipment at bars.
Stock refrigerating units with wines, beer, replace beer kegs, etc.
Replenish ice atbar
Clean and polish bar, counters, shelves, equipment, bar stools, etc.
Prepare food items needed in the preparation of drinks.
Trash pickup and disposal at bar and bar service areas.
Maintain personal health and sanitation standards (wash hands when usingrestroom, etc.)
Review work procedures and operational problems todetermineways to improve service, performance, and/or safety.
Step in toassistother Food & Beverage areas as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 yearsofexperience in food service and/or working in a bar environmentpreferred.
Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing guest and personal services; this includes guest needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of guest satisfaction.
Good oral communication skills
Professionalism in handling all matters
Ability to understand orders and understand information/ideas presented in writing.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
