- Bringing event spaces to life by setting up tables, chairs, podiums, staging, risers, dance floors, signs, decorations, and other banquet equipment.
- Reading and following Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), function sheets, diagrams, and instructions to ensure each event is set exactly as requested.
- Preparing meeting rooms and banquet spaces by vacuuming, cleaning walls, windows, mirrors, and other areas according to company standards.
- Picking up and delivering equipment and supplies to scheduled event spaces.
- Safely transporting, setting up, breaking down, and storing tables, chairs, and other banquet equipment.
- Reviewing daily calendars and event function sheets and adjusting room setups based on changes or instructions from Banquet Management and Sales/Catering.
- Refreshing meeting rooms with linens, meeting pads, pens, pencils, candy, and other supplies as needed.
- Keeping service corridors, pre-function areas, meeting spaces, and storage areas clean, organized, and ready for the next event.
- Servicing meeting rooms by removing trash, dirty dishes, glasses, cups, and linens throughout an event.
- Jumping in to handle unexpected spills, move furniture, or assist with last-minute event needs.
- Performing basic care and light maintenance on equipment and promptly communicating repair needs.
- Interacting with guests in a professional, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Working closely with Banquet Management, Banquet Captains, Sales/Catering, and fellow Curators to ensure events run smoothly.

Education and Experience
- Previous banquet, events, hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or service experience preferred.
- Previous experience with banquet set-up, event operations, or furniture/equipment movement preferred.
- Ability to read and follow Banquet Event Orders, function sheets, diagrams, and written or verbal instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, and guests.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities based on event needs.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment.
- Willingness to learn new procedures, equipment, and event setup techniques.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
- Must maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance and follow all grooming and uniform standards.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours during a shift.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, reach at shoulder level and below the waist, and occasionally reach above the head.
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, operate, and manipulate necessary equipment.
- Ability to work throughout meeting rooms, banquet spaces, pre-function areas, service corridors, storage areas, and other areas of the property.
- Ability to safely move furniture, equipment, supplies, and other banquet items while following proper safety procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where event schedules, room setups, and guest needs may change quickly.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, attention to detail, and a service-first mindset throughout the shift.
