About our Company
We are seeking a dynamic Banquets Houseperson (part-time) to join our team for the overnight shift. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities

1. Greet every guest with a smile and maintain eye contact
2. Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
3. Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel
4. Offer guests an enjoyable experience that conforms to the hotel’s standards of excellence, professionalism and friendliness
5. Demonstrate expert understanding and knowledge of the sequence of service, following this sequence for every guest
6. Ensure all furniture in event area is clean and arranged properly
7. Help set up and break down event equipment, including delivering event supplies to the space as needed
8. Ensure that all public areas are neat and clean
9. Replenish event supplies during event breaks as needed
10. Ensure all equipment is returned to its proper area and all areas are cleaned upon conclusion of the event
11. Complete prep and side work efficiently so focused attention during the event can be given fully to guest care
12. Maintain cleanliness of event work area and equipment
13. Attend all pre-function meetings required to ensure events flow smoothly
14. Service all aspects of the event operation in accordance with all departmental and hotel standards
15. Take ownership of all service issues brought to your attention by guests
16. Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the hotel
17. Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested

Core Competencies

1. High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
2. Two (2) years related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred
3. Strong communication skills
4. Collaborative spirit
5. Ethical Conduct
6. Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Office, Opera PMS
7. Positive Attitude
8. Eye for Detail
9. Problem solving abilities
