About the location:
A secluded oasis at the edge of an idyllic lagoon! On the east coast of Mauritius, lapped by turquoise waters perfect for water sports, our relaxing Resort is filled with lush greenery and dramatic views everywhere you turn. Each stylish villa and residence feature its own private garden and pool – just like the home for the Resort’s resident giant tortoises. After a day exploring the Indian Ocean or playing unlimited golf at both our Ernie Els-designed course and Bernhard Langer signature course, unwind at our award-winning Spa and raise a glass at one of our exciting dining venues. Purpose
Toaccurately and completely take food and beverage orders, efficiently serve food and beverages to guests and attend to guests' needs.
Job Responsibilities
General

Provides genuine hospitality and recognition, acts as host/hostessin the work area. Promotes hotel services and products
Takes orders for, serves (where applicable, prepares) food and beverages to guests as per hotel standards in a friendly,timelyand efficient manner
Possesses a high degree of product knowledge and relevant technical skills. Keeps abreast of events in the hotel
Anticipates guest needs, offerssuggestionsandascertainssatisfaction
Takes ownership of guest concerns and requests and acts decisively to ensure guest satisfaction when glitches occur
Describes food & beverage menu items with interesting and vivid descriptions in a concise,informativeandappropriate manner
Ishighly sensitiveto guest preferences;assistsin compiling guest history; offers a special service touch when an opportunity is presented
Requisitionssuppliesaccording to established procedures
Accurately posts guest checks, processespaymentsand adheres to related control procedures in a vigilant manner
Should be able to respond positively when asked to be polyvalent to perform duty from one Food and Beverage outlet to another.
Special Requirements
Has 1 -2 yearsof relevant experience in5 starhotels/resorts or reputable stand-alone restaurants
Possesses excellent English,mathand psychometric abilities
Possessesaptitude and upward mobility.
Technical education in Hospitality Management is preferred
Basic wine knowledge preferred
