Our 182-room hotel is adjacent to the home of the Colorado Rockies, Coors Field and located on McGregor Square. This full-city block is the epicenter of entertainment featuring restaurants, retail and a circulate plaza with a stadium sized LED screen, that will host sports entertainment, movie nights and private events. The Banquet Houseperson is responsible for the setup, maintenance, refresh, and breakdown of banquet and meeting spaces in accordance with event orders and company standards. This position plays a key role in ensuring banquet functions are executed efficiently, safely, and professionally while maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout all event spaces and service areas.

Responsibilities

  • Set banquet rooms according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and event diagrams.
  • Arrange tables, chairs, linens, staging, bars, buffets, and other banquet equipment.
  • Ensure meeting and event spaces are properly prepared prior to guest arrival.
  • Refresh meeting rooms throughout events, including replenishing water stations, coffee stations, ice, and supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms, hallways, storage areas, and service stations.
  • Assist banquet servers, captains, and managers with operational needs during events.
  • Perform timely and safe breakdown of banquet rooms and event spaces following function completion.
  • Return equipment, tables, chairs, and supplies to designated storage areas in an organized manner.
  • Assist with room flips and reset spaces for upcoming events.
  • Remove trash, linens, dishes, and event materials from banquet areas.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation procedures while handling equipment and completing event setups/breakdowns.
  • Ensure all banquet spaces meet company presentation and cleanliness standards.
  • All other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Qualifications

Education/Formal Training

No formal education needed.

Experience

Prior housekeeping experience desirable.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Ability to follow Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and room diagrams. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to communicate effectively with guests, managers, and team members. Basic understanding of banquet operations and event setup procedures preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Demands

Strength & Lifting

  • Heavy Lifting: Frequently lifting and moving heavy, awkward equipment like staging, dance floors, podiums, and heavy banquet tables.
  • Weight Capacities: Routinely expected to lift or carry items weighing anywhere from(50 to 80pounds, with some roles requiring the ability to push/pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.

Mobility & Stamina

  • Constant Movement: Standing and walking continuously for the duration of 8-10 hour shift.
  • Body Mechanics: Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and reaching (both above the shoulders and below the knees) to arrange furniture, drape tables, and clean floors.
  • Navigating Spaces: Frequent navigation through crowded back-of-house hallways, kitchens, and large event rooms

Inside 80% of 8 hours.
