Banquet Houseman

Wentworth by the Sea Resort and Spa is seeking Banquet Houseman staff to join our team. We offer potential Banquet Houseman candidates a competitive hourly wage as well as the following benefits:

Responsibilities for our Banquet Houseman staff include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring ready-for-revenue standards are met for each active event room.
• Set up and configuration of tables, chairs, and other furniture based on requested event layouts
• Laying down dance floors
• Putting out linens and table covers
• Setting up staging for event speakers/performers
• Build show-ready presentations, providing guests with a weekly showcase of the property event spaces.
• Assist banquet staff with event closing and resetting of areas: cleaning, vacuuming, resetting chairs and tables.
• Moving tables, chairs and other furniture into storage when not in use
• Operate within provided assignments and timeliness in accordance with the order of events.

A successful Banquet Houseman candidate should have:

• The ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• The ability to stand/walk for up to 5 hours.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic with a malleable, eager and willing to learn approach.
• Ability to adapt to a changing and high-service demand work environment.
• Receptive to positive, constructive communication.
• Reliability in appearing ready for service for each scheduled shift.
