WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Banquet Head Houseperson play a vital role on the Banquet team by ensuring all meetings and events are correctly set up per diagram and event order specifications to guarantee a memorable experience for our guests. As the lead of the team you will assist in the daily game plan and execution for meeting and event room sets that include tables, chairs, and staging. In this position you will also play an active role working side by side with the Banquet Housemen in setting up all events and meetings.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
Must be able to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations.
Must be able to interpret and apply technical instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Must possess good listening skills.
Must be able to apply commonsense understanding to a variety of situations including room sets, turnovers and future room sets.
Must have a great attention to detail.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position supports supervising Banquet Housemen in the team.
REQUIREMENTS
At least 18 years of age or older.
High school diploma or equivalent degree (GED) required.
The physical ability to push, pull, and lift various furniture items such as staging, dance floors, tables and chairs.
Ability to safely operate motorized equipment including a forklift.
Attention to detail and must have visual capabilities needed to inspect work upon completion to avoid leaving deficient work.
Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance according to schedule.
PREFERRED N/ACERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines.
Must regularly lift and/move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
The physical ability to use both hands for continuous grasping.
Able to work in an environment with fumes and airborne particles.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Most work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment and exposed to various environmental factors such as but not limited to noise, dust and smoke.
There will be instances where work will be performed outside at our pool and parking lot location.
