To ensure proper action is taken to follow the current bankruptcy laws to protect the member and the Credit Union. This position is responsible for the processing of incoming federal bankruptcy pleadings, including but not limited to bankruptcy filing notifications, discharge orders, and dismissal orders. This position is also responsible for explaining the actions taken by the Credit Union (e.g. account maintenance, legal action) to members, branches, Credit Union departments, bankruptcy trustees, and to the member’s and the Credit Union’s legal representatives. Under direction of management, this position oversees managing an assigned queue/portfolio of bankruptcy accounts (Chapter 7, Chapter 11, Chapter 13, and/or BK Mortgage) in accordance with bankruptcy law.

5 years professional experience working in a bankruptcy position, law firm specializing in creditor representation, or Trustee’s office with experience in bankruptcy case management.
