Job Description

At Jack Henry, we’re more than a technology company, we’re a force for good in financial services. We’re redefining how community banks and credit unions connect with the people they serve. Our mission is rooted in people inspired innovation, empowering financial institutions to deliver seamless, secure, and human centered experiences. We deliver cutting-edge solutions that are paving the way for the next generation of digital banking and payments, but our true impact begins with our associates. If you're ready to help transform an industry and grow with a company that values purpose, collaboration, and excellence then we’d love to meet you.

Our Banking Operations Client Services Consulting team is seeking a Business Consultant III to join us. In this role, you will partner with banks on the SilverLake Core System to improve operational efficiency and maximize the value of the SilverLake product, with a focus on Back Office Deposit Operations and Back Office Treasury Operations. You will spend up to 40% of your time on-site with customers, identifying opportunities to improve deposit and treasury operational performance and quantifying the anticipated benefits. This role supports our ongoing utilization studies, which identify and quantify opportunities to fully leverage Jack Henry systems, with a primary focus on SilverLake functionality. You will provide process improvement recommendations and identify front- and back-office process changes that align with system capabilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and an effective communicator with strong verbal and written skills, and is comfortable working with both senior leadership and day-to-day system users.

This position may be worked remotely within the United States, with the exception of California.

This position is ineligible for immigration sponsorship and support. Please do not apply if at any time you will need immigration support now or in the future (i.e., H-1B, STEM OPT Training Plans, etc.).

All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Conduct onsite operational and system consulting engagements with existing SilverLake customers to help them improve efficiency and get more value from their solutions.
  • Perform operational and systems analysis, onsite when not working remotely, to identify problems and uncover operational and system enhancement opportunities.
  • Facilitate structured discussions with client operations teams to review how SilverLake products and parameters are currently set up and used, and recommend improvements.
  • Assess front‑ and back‑office deposit and treasury processes and provide system‑aligned recommendations that improve operational efficiency and increase use of SilverLake functionality.
  • Develop actionable deliverables that define recommended changes to processes, system parameters, operational alignment, and educational needs based on assessment findings and opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with customers about Jack Henry products, services, and solutions to build strong client relationships and support retention.
  • Participate in sales activities and proposal presentations as needed, while supporting ongoing team and account responsibilities.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the banking industry.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience supporting deposit and or treasury back‑office operations within a bank.
  • Hands-on experience with the Jack Henry™ SilverLake Core System, specifically the Deposit, CIF, Time Deposit, Wire, ACH, and Exception Item Processing applications, including operational workflows and parameter setup and maintenance.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%, typically one trip per month lasting up to one week, with additional travel as needed to meet client requirements.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex information and turn it into practical solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to support professional interactions with employees, customers and vendors.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Experience working with Jack Henry products and solutions.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear system and functional requirements.
  • Skill in analyzing existing processes and recommending practical improvements.
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to present a positive image to customers.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple projects at once.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively as a contributing member of a team.
  • Experience using IBM Query or other data mining and reporting tools.

If you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this opportunity. Even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement on this posting, we still encourage you to apply. We’re looking for passionate, driven individuals who align with our mission and can bring unique perspectives to our team.
