Job Description

LGT is the largest Private Banking and Asset Management group in the world to be owned by an entrepreneurial family. As the family office of the Princely House of Liechtenstein, we have years of experience in the management of sizeable sums of assets.

Job Description

In this role, you ensure the secure and smooth delivery of our vault, safe-deposit-box and precious-metals services. With your diligent, discreet and service-oriented approach, you make an important contribution to protecting client assets and upholding high security and compliance standards. Your responsibilities include:

  • managing the bank vault and ensuring accurate, complete and traceable inventory records;
  • processing purchases, sales, deposits, deliveries and handovers of physical precious metals in a professional manner;
  • checking incoming precious metals against LGT standards and coordinating precious-metals deliveries with LGT offices;
  • managing safe-deposit-box services, from opening and amendments to access arrangements and termination;
  • verifying identities and access authorisations and documenting all relevant activities completely and accurately;
  • consistently applying security, access-control, dual-control and monitoring processes, identifying irregularities and escalating them in line with internal requirements;
  • where required, supporting the cash desk with the professional processing of cash transactions;
  • providing clients with discreet advice on vault, safe-deposit-box and precious-metals services, while working closely with Reception, Private Banking, Compliance, Trading and other internal stakeholders, for example on inventories, audits and valuables transports.

Requirements

  • You have completed a banking or commercial apprenticeship, or hold an equivalent qualification.
  • Ideally, you bring experience in a banking environment, preferably in vault management, safe-deposit-box services, precious metals, cash services or valuables logistics.
  • You are familiar with relevant security, compliance, anti-money-laundering and internal-control requirements, or are able to acquire this knowledge quickly.
  • You work diligently, in a structured and reliable manner, and demonstrate a strong awareness of security, integrity and discretion.
  • You have a strong eye for detail, sound numerical skills and confidence in using internal systems and documentation tools.
  • You are able to safely lift, carry and move loads of up to 30 kg as part of the role and bring a professional, client-oriented and collaborative approach.
  • You have an excellent command of German and a good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
