Dinorwic Road, is looking to recruit a Bank Support Worker to join the team. This is a Bank role.

Dinorwic Road is located in the village of Birkdale in Southport, Merseyside. It offers residential support for three males and females with a primary learning disability diagnosis, who may also have mental health needs. We are located on a quiet road, surrounded by beautiful countryside.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our resident wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As Bank Support Worker, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.

  • Through own professional behaviour, including adhering to policies and procedures, contributes to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards.
  • To undertake key working responsibility for individual service users, supporting the individual to plan goals and personal outcomes and ensure that these are comprehensively documented and reviewed. Innovation
  • The role holder should have a flexible and innovative approach to their work and be able to facilitate and support service users in decision making, promoting choice and involvement at all times.
  • The role holder should present the service in a positive light and should be proactive in making suggestions for how to improve the service.

What you'll bring to the role

We are looking for a support worker with prior experience in social care, healthcare, or a related support role, where they have assisted individuals with daily living activities and personal care. Experience working with people who have disabilities, mental health challenges, or elderly clients is highly valued, as it reflects an understanding of their unique needs. Strong communication skills are essential to effectively liaise with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals. Additionally, the ability to remain calm in emergency situations and accurately follow care plans is crucial to ensure the safety and well-being of those you support.
