Compensation: £13.45 / hour


River House is looking to recruit a Bank Support workers to join the team.

We are located in the Shaw’s Bridge area of Belfast. It offers residential support for eight people who are on the autism spectrum or have a learning disability. We are in a semi-rural area on the outskirts of the city, surrounded by beautiful countryside.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Support Worker, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity, and treatment of residents.

  • Provide reliable, friendly, and compassionate support to help service users achieve daily goals, including personal care.
  • Assist with and encourage participation in in-house activities and hobbies to promote engagement and well-being.
  • Stay attentive to service users’ needs and motivate them to reach their full potential.
  • Demonstrate resilience and help manage challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism.
